Celebrating the Journey: New Stanton Class of 1965 

In 1965, nearly 500 young men and women graduated from New Stanton High School, stepping boldly into adulthood during a time of great change. Alongside the usual challenges of growing up, they faced the realities of war and the ongoing struggle for equality and the American dream.

Their paths led to colleges, apprenticeships, and military service, all fueled by the hope of building successful lives and strong families. Over the past 60 years, this resilient group has overcome obstacles both at home and beyond, achieving many of the goals they set for themselves as teenagers. Through trials and triumphs, their determination and spirit have carried them forward.

During the weekend of October 17-19, we gathered to honor that journey. We celebrated the foundation built during our high school days, reconnected with cherished classmates, remembered those we have lost, and reflected on what lies ahead. Together, we continue to give our best for “Dear Old Stanton.”
